Is Anyone Else Hating What Pride Turned Into?

Preface this by saying I'm not conservative, but I feel like the rest of the world has truly lost their minds so I hope I'm welcome here.

I am a lesbian. Femme, if you want to be specific. Not that it matters. And I grew up around gay elders. This was during the time where my aunts were 'best friends living together and who never married' and my uncles were constantly watched by their neighbours in case they would have little boys over. To me, homosexuality was always same-sex attraction. Lesbians are female homosexuals. Gay men are male homosexuals. Doesn't matter what their gender identity is, lesbians and gay men are not into the opposite sex.

Apparently thinking this makes me a TERF.

And now this year anywhere I turn it's queer this, queer that. When I browse pride things on social media it's all trans trans trans, non-binary, trans, demisexual, asexual, aromantic, trans, non-binary, pansexual, demisexual. Absolutely nowhere do I see lesbians, gay men or bisexuals mentioned? And even if lesbians are mentioned they are never called lesbians. They are 'queer women' or 'sapphic.' It feels like we've gone back in time, where gay and lesbian are dirty words.

LGBT is no longer about homosexuals and bisexuals, I just feel like it's a competition who can act most like a freak. There's kink at pride. There's poly at pride. There are women who call themselves queer (pardon my french) because they peg their boyfriends. What the hell is even remotely queer about that??? Sorry, but a woman who uses she/they pronouns and dates a hetereosexual man is just straight to me. They might as well just remove the lgb part from LGBTQIA whatever the else they call it, because at this point the queer community is mainly straight people wanting to feel special.

Idk. Maybe I'm coming across really harshly, but I'm so tired. Anyone else feel like this?
