A lot of people ask what the difference is between a full normal gastric bypass and mi and bypass. I have a mini bypass myself, because as the doctor explained to me, sometimes in some patients it is difficult to stretch the tissues properly for suturing and such suturing would be burdensome for the patient. Ultimately, it does not change anything in the weight loss process, only the left stomach is a bit larger, and therefore more capacious, but it is not a significant size.
