Was closing up today at my warehouse and the door was working fine. I opened it one last time to take garbage out. It stalled a few feet up, I closed it, then opened it again and it went up. Now it won’t close and I don’t even hear the motor functioning when I try to close it. The sensors seemed to be aligned.
Anything I could do safely as someone who knows little about overhead doors or should this be left to professionals? Could troubleshooting myself be dangerous? (I let my boss know and I’m worried he might try to tinker with it himself not knowing how dangerous it could be.)
I can provide pictures if needed. Thanks ahead.
Edit: Issue (sort of) solved. My boss did what I feared and climbed a ladder and brute forced it down. We’ll just call professionals on Monday. Thanks for the replies.
Hold the close button for 7-10 seconds? Does it start to close?
