Spring sabotage?
Post Body

I got a sketchy garage door "lube & tune" service and a week later now I have a broken spring and the door won't open. The door was working great for years before I had the service. They tried to upsell me hard on re-tensioning service, but I declined that. My crazy conspiracy theory is that these guys could have sabotaged the door so the spring would break and I'd call them back for more service, though it was at least working OK for a few days after their visit. More likely it's just incompetence. I'm just curious if this is a typical scam.

Lots of other red flags from these guys -- an "F" BBB rating, 900 five star reviews on Google despite only being around for two years. I have a video of the whole encounter (they vape and have a phone call, hardly do anything to the door), though I'm a little reluctant to post the full video to protect the privacy of the random personal phone call the guys had in my garage.

There no way to sabotage a spring. It breaks when it breaks. Just bad timing
