So I think I’ve narrowed down to these two prospects. Looking for what would be the most future proof. As much as I would love a 4080, I just can’t reason the pricing and I don’t see the prices hitting under 2k for Black Friday. But I also don’t mind waiting. I’m not a heavy gamer (Minecraft, GMod, maybe Diablo, GoW, Trucksim, Star Wars)

For the Slim 7 I’d be willing to ditch the 1TB for 512 (-$50). I’m not afraid of getting an external hardrive. Same with the extra 16GB ram, because apparently there is a slot to add if anything (-$50). Both upgrades would remove $100.

This would primarily be a desktop replacement for home use primarily. Maybe once a year it would need to run portable, but otherwise I always have access to outlets one way or another.

-How would these two compare with heat? -From what I’ve read the HS is more for slim bodies/battery, while HX will focus on performance? -What is the build quality like? -How do the 4070 and 4060 stand in these forms? -How is the cooling in these bad boys? Naturally I would think the slim body has worst cooling

I’m also open to any recommendations from anyone for other laptops, not strictly Lenovo. *Prices are in CAD
