How do you success trade E-Mini contracts on news days?

Today there was PCE release and the market kept moving violently between two price points taking multiple turns. It was so hard to catch the movements since they were with a high velocity throughout. Lost a lot of money because I was always late to enter all the swings. Does anyone trade successfully on news days? If so what strategies you use?
