Question about International FBM and shipping and import costs

Post Body

Hello,

I'm currently running a successful FBA operation. We are selling in North America via our US warehouse and EU via our warehouse in Germany. My question is about FBM in North America to Mexico and Canada.

In each listing I can select multiple marketplaces to send the listing to. When I select US, Canada, and Mexico and then choose FBA, Amazon Remote Fulfillment takes care of the rest. Calculates shipping, duties, taxes, etc and builds those costs into the listing.

When I select those same marketplaces as an FBM listing, I do not see any way to add appropriate duties charges (e.g. 19% for Mexico for value over $50). Additionally, if I create a shipping template for the Mexico marketplace, the template wants to price for "domestic shipping" even though my warehouse location is stated as in the US.

Is Amazon not set up to allow for sellers to use FBM across international borders? My gut says to just use FBA Remote Fulfillment for all MX and CDN listings, but I wanted to ask here to make sure there isn't something that I'm missing. Thanks in advance!
