A couple years back during the beginning of the pandemic, I was at a point in my life when I was having an existential crisis harder than I ever had before. With mental and physical health difficulties and trying to get better and talking to other people on the internet about my experiences, I realized that I truly was and still am not alone. And I realized that since pretty much everyone was having very similar experiences with health issues, family issues, work issues, and often an underlying sense of dread with feelings of purposelessness, something is fundamentally wrong. We live in a world where everyone wants freedom whether they want to admit or not. Yet, so many people have to spend their time doing unfulfilling work whether it be busywork that doesn't amount to much, a daily grind of dealing with unsatisfied people, or physically straining work. And this work feeds a system of greed where the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and the planet and its inhabits get killed. I want actual freedom where my life isn't dictated by an oligarchy of invisible people who I'll never meet. I've changed my life in efforts to contribute less to the system but most of the population are people who are complacent in their lifestyles and ostracize people like me while empowering the oligarchy. So my efforts make so little impact. I'm waiting for revolutions for an evolution of the human race. I don't know what it will look like or when it will happen but I'm hoping it will be pure anarchy - no ruler, only the communities of people who self-govern and make cooperative dealings with each other - true, effective government. If it is anything but autonomy, it will just end up being another violent or reformative resetting of who has the power. I want actual freedom in the world I live in but for now, all I can do is express myself, work on my own self-empowerment, strength, flexibility, and healing.
