With all the different power companies that are available to choose from in the Fort Worth, TX area.. I find myself wondering if I should be focusing on companies that offer renewable energy over those that do not. In the event of an act of God, such as horrible storms that affect the grid as a whole, does having an electric company that offers, say up to 100% renewable energy, actually make a difference in the reliability in the grid for said company?
Or should I try to prioritize the cheapest rate for the longest term so my rates are locked in for that low rate?
Powertochoose.org is the website Iām using to search for this information.
