I scrolled across a video of a girl telling her story of how she became an idol/model. A company came across her tik tok videos and reached out to her for an audition. It's not as if she had really done anything. She was just attractive. There was a story recently about some kid named Axel Webber. He traveled to New York to pursue his dream of getting into Julliard. He was rejected, but everyone rallied behind him and now he's trying his hand at modeling. Again, he did nothing but be conventionally attractive.
I'm not saying there's no work involved after that, but it's infuriating how one can just get these life changing opportunities for simply being attractive.
People are more likely to listen to you. They treat you better. It's just sad. All of the traits that I have that people find "odd" would be considered cute or quirky if I were attractive, but because I'm not I'm just weird.
If I sound bitter, it's because I am! It's exhausting seeing people reach unimaginable heights because they're good looking. Then being told the reason you can't is because you're not working hard enough. It's frustrating yo have to work 3x as hard for no other reason than being born ugly.
Why does society deem you more worthy if you're good looking? I mean, I know why...but I hate it. I am almost everything society deems unworthy, almost all of it determined when I was born. Yes I am jealous. Yes I am bitter. I wish that I weren't, but it's hard not to be with you're quite literally the bottom of the barrel.
