confused and at a loss
Post Body

does anyone know why my car is making this sound when i try to start it? i have a 2002 Ford Taurus se 6 cylinder. sometimes this happens once and then when i turn the key again it’ll start up fine. other times it’ll happen 2 to 3 times before it’ll start. other times it’ll start right up with no issues. then sometimes it’ll start right up with a small amount of grinding noise. The engine light is on, but it’s for O2 sensors. The red light that flashed on in the video was for my seatbelt. this problem started happening after we replaced my starter. any in insight or suggestions would be very helpful, my father and i are at a loss. thank you!

The mechanics all want to charge me 2k or more to put in a new flywheel. I don't want to pay that seeing the car has 260,000 miles on it, I'd rather just buy another car

Mine makes this noise every single time I got to start it. Been doing it for 2 years now. Had my starter replaced TWICE (although they were used starters) and after the 1st few cranks it drives just fine and then boom it has trouble starting again
