Ok, so there’s this girl…stop me when you’ve heard this one before. But really, a few years ago I took a solo trip to Europe. I spent a lot of time hanging out with this super cool girl Michelle (fake name). Michelle is awesome. An artist. Funny. Parisian. Tattooed. All of that. Long story short, the day I was leaving I shot my shot. Since we talked a lot about tattoos since we both have them, I told her I never got to see the tattoo on her foot! I can’t remember the details but she was in a rush and didn’t and said she’d send me a photo later. I was thrilled! I’d be able to actually have a photo of her foot and finally see her feet, which, if you haven’t been able to guess, I hadn’t been able to see her feet for as long as I was in Europe. Anyway, I got back to the states and there were a couple of things she needed to send me that she hadnt (book recos, fav movies that I could watch, etc) and I also reminded her about the tattoo! Alas, she sent me the pic of her tattoo…WITH HER TOES CROPPED OUT. Disappointment was an understatement. Anyway, we’ve remained friends on social media for the last few years, catching up, sharing work, etc. lately, though, she’s been posting pics of what she’s reading along with her gorgeously manicured nails. Now, I’m not into hands or fingers like I am into feet but I can’t help but feel a connection, especially knowing my interest in this person right? So for weeks and months I’m seeing her beautiful manicured hands and my brain takes my right to her feet but of course I can’t ask about them or anything. But today, TODAY READER, she posts a pic of herself in a football kit, bare legs, and BAREFOOT. Wow. Except…her god damn toes are cropped out again but just ever so slightly. UGH! Unfortunately, that’s as close as I’ve ever gotten to seeing this gorgeous persons feet in their entirety. Maybe one day. Thanks for reading this far if you got here. I just needed to tell someone!
