Seeking advice on preventing right trigger thumb from occurring again
Post Body

During the pandemic, I started playing the flute after having quit a looong time ago. I developed trigger thumb and needed to get 2 painful injections. I stopped playing for almost a year out of fear that it would return (even thou the doctor didn't agree with me that playing the flute was the likely cause.) I just started again, and sure enough, after only a few, spaced out practices I feel discomfort and tightness in my right thumb. The first time, it took over a year of frequent playing for the trigger thumb to develop, so it's scary that I'm feeling signs of it so quickly this time. Am I doing something wrong? Is there any type of brace I can use to protect my thumb
