Need advice on fishing in the US
Post Body

So I haven't been fishing for a few years but now having moved to California it would be rude to not take it up again with the lakes we have here.

Now I'm used to basic carp fishing in the uk, standard rig with some boilies and wait for the bait alarm to mental. Now how different is carp fishing to trout or bass as most of the lakes near me seem to either be largemouth bass or rainbow trout.

Is it a spinner and I have to cast, reel it in, cast etc. Or is it like carp fishing and I just cast it in and wait? Any tip, tricks or advice would be greatly appreciated, wanna make the most of the time I have after being laid off 😅😅
