I made a comment like this on a post about Halson's early development, but it was several days ago and I'd like to discuss it from my perspective.
My degree is in Early Childhood Education, but it's been 24 years since I've used it,, but I'll take a shot at Halson's speech. Maybe they're not including her in T&O scenes in the vlog because her language development is clearly ahead of the twins.
I'm not saying that T&O aren't as smart-different kids develop in different ways. From what little I've seen, it looks like they're really bright girls, especially when they're settled down a little, but they look like they have a ton if energy and spirit. Most preschools I've seen spend about as much time getting kids to sit down and shut up than actually using that natural, joyful, boundless energy and focusing on working with it to make it fun for kids to learn. They should have lots of breaks with at least 2 recesses, plus music and art to break up the day. Not everyone can afford a great preschool (I recommend Montessori) but the Fushers can. I'd probably find a new preschool, TBH. It's not all the school's problem, though. Mom and dad need to take a look at their discipline. They need to sit the girls down, preferably one child at a time, regularly and talk about what's ok at home vs. what's ok at home, at church, etc. If they behave like I imagine they do at school, I feel like the teacher would be happy to help with the OK/not OK list.
The twins understand each other, and they are so close that they probably don't realize that they're not speaking as well as Halston. I haven't watched many of their videos, but do K&M use baby talk with their kids a lot? That can set them back. Also, T&O seem to do a lot of twin stuff and exclude Halston, so Halston would naturally spend more time talking to her parents than to another child. It would stand to reason that they use baby talk with 3&4 if they did with 1&2, but that's not always the case. Halston might be picking up language from TV of YouTube, or by being ignored while K&M do whatever they do and overhearing their conversations. IMO, with twins at that age, and even closely bonded Itish twins, they don't pay as much attention to the world around them as only kids or siblings who aren't as close in age.
Just some thoughts on this, since I see a lot of comments on this. You never know what kids will pick up..when my son was Halson's age, the first time I met my new boyfriend's parents, he walked over to the end tables beside me, grabbed my diet Coke to take a drink, and then stopped anf loudly yelled, "Oh, Mama! Is there booze in there?" He still had issues pronouncing the letter T, but everyone understood him clearly. Yikes.
