Hey there. I am a reasonably experienced AC and I want to move around in camera department a bit. I can handle the digital loader aspect of it, and have managed media a lot, but recently turned down a DIT job because it required some knowledge of painting and such. I can make my way around Resolve but I have some questions about DIT. Any resources/literature will be appreciated.
My understanding of the job is that the DIT is responsible for, with the DP, creating LUTs and applying them live to the signal being sent to village, meanwhile paying attention to make sure all scopes are legal. Also, the DIT is responsible for creating dailies. Does this normally involve syncing audio, burning in TC and a LUT? Also who generally gets the dailies?
My questions are a bit obtuse, so I'd really like to be pointed to some articles with some information.
Thanks y'all.
