For me:

Zero-two: doesn't exist Three: lowest level of pain/where I am on good days Four: mildy aware of pain more Five: annoyed as its officially an inconvenience Six: try gentle stretching, yoga or some other non drug treatment Seven: start taking otc pain meds Eight: see doctor, refuse meds I know won't work, increase otc, curse the opioid crisis Nine: tears, start contemplating if I need the body part Ten: vomit, tears more vomit, usually er/hospital trip
