I saw on another feminist sub reddit, that the UK has not passed the menopause leave. This didn't make it on to the news but was quietly swept under the carpet.
The reason? It might cause discrimination to men, for example those who suffer long term health conditions.
The fact that it says "cause" rather than "increase" discrimination of men, should really have made them check their privilege.
Is there anything we can do to protest this decision?
It seems incredibly unfair that something which is biologically unavoidable can count against women in the workplace. Don't get me started on menstrual leave.
We. Need. Change.
