I can ignore a lot of things about the show, I can ignore the poor whiplash as the story goes, I can ignore the fact that most characters are unlikable, and I can ignore that Bethesda just doesn't know how to write neo-westerns. All of those things? Fine, sure, whatever.

But the inclusion of House and Sinclair on Vaul-Tec team? That is just so...bad. Pure bad. I am posting it here in hopes someone can see what I am putting down, but man, first is House - how and why? He is there just to disagree with them, the show clearly put him there just to have him there, if he was part of their team then how did he not know when nukes would come exactly? Why would they betray him? You can try to come up with reasons but they don't work because putting House in that situation was just a bad call from the get-go. Making Vaul-Tec the only architect was the bad decision as is, because that is not how it works in real world, but putting House there was only doubling down on it.

And then there is Sinclair. "Uhu, but he turned his mansion into a death trap!" - sure...do you realize when he did that? Right before the nukes dropped - and he tried to reverse what he did almost right away. Long story short, it doesn't really matter because he regretted what he has done, what he has done did not really hurt anyone, and Sierra Madre would still be fucked either way because Think Tank deemed so. That is sorta the point - there was no winning for Sinclair, PARTIALLY because he was a good and naive person. Again, this is what I mean when I say that Bethesda can't write neo-westersn. They simply see a rich person and go "evil and fat", no nuance, no respect for original material or people who wrote it, no respect for the spirit of the series and the message of it.

Truth be told, putting Sinclair in there like this is doubly fucking cringe because there is no Sinclair without Vera, their story are deeply interconnected, so to not get that, and to show him without her, whereas he is nothing without her (and that is the point) is such a massive fucking disrespect to original characters.

New Vegas feels a proper neo-western, fucking Blood Meridian Lite, while Fallout show is just Marvel-esk shit. I don't fucking understand just WHY Bethesda wishes to tell stories on the West Coast if they have no desire to show respect to original material - fucking go back to East Coast! Fallout 3? 4? Why come back here and ruin little few things you didn't have to? That's just arrogant, Todd
