Why does my pattern sound different mid-way through the song?
Post Body

I was playing around with patterns last night and noticed that my pattern was pitched higher when I played the song altogether.

Forgive me, but i’m not a music theorist or a pro so i’m not sure of the proper terminology, but my pattern was a repetitive sound for 4 beats. When i played it as a pattern, it sounded normal but within the song, midway through it pitched up?

I then tried to remove the extra 3 beats, so my pattern was just 1 beat instead. I then just added more to fill in the space. For like…the first few times, this seemed to fix the problem, but then the pitching up happened again.

Can anyone tell me whats going on? How do i fix it? It sounds find as a pattern but within the song it pitches up.
