I have never understood why Gumi felt the need to remove this effect from our Rainbow Jacket and replace it with Smoke of all things.

It's not 50%, it's not 25%, it's 20% Draw.

What exactly is so overpowered about that effect that they were so unwilling to even reduce it to 10%, but just completely remove it from the item? Draw’s counterpart effect, Camouflage is available for all to have from FP summons, is the opposite so good that if I wanted to simulate it Gumi would rather me give Camouflage to every unit besides the tank?

I am not saying we absolutely need Rainbow Jacket to have this effect, but it would greatly help so many units if equipment like this existed in our game. Given Gumi’s behavior regarding the Rainbow Jacket it almost seems like they don’t want us to have any gear like this at all. We’ll have to see this winter if we get the Reindeer Nose.

For example, JP had previously this Jacket and the Reindeer nose which both accrued 20% Draw each. Units like Snow no longer had to leave himself vulnerable during a turn to provoke and could defend during the entire fight, never risking a moment where he could aggro a powerful move out of defending. It greatly increased his survivability and usefulness as a tank. Any Draw tank in general would compete much better if they did not have to use every 1/3 turns on renewing their Draw buff.

Hell even Eve could be a much better unit had he equipment that allowed him to Draw attacks not from the members that populate our subreddit, but from actual enemies in a natural way so that he could Gather Scrap Metal along with other activities without needing to waste time on Provoke. (Still hoping maintenance sneakily does something to this guy, but I have low expectations. You should as well; it will leave you much happier.)

Iris’ (from FFXV) TM is a Light Shield called the Moogle Plushie that has this effect (30%). Do we seriously have to wait that far down the line in the timeline and power creep to get at most 80% natural Draw?
