Thinking about stopping at 6 months
Post Body

My son will be 4 months on the 13th. I produce 1.5-2oz every pump and I pump usually 4-5 times a day. I am a social worker and don’t have time to pump more than 2 times at work. If my son doesn’t wake up in the middle of night I don’t wake up to pump because there is no point for me to do that. I wake up almost every time (skipped maybe 2 or 3 nights in 4 months) I get him to latch once or twice a week but i have to catch him before he gets mad. I don’t want to try all the supplements and stuff because I am scared of allergies and I have tried body armors and ate oatmeal every day for a month and it did nothing. Power pumping does not help hnless I do it twice a day for serval days and I unfortunately don’t have the time due to working full time. I have 180 oz in the freezer and even that will only feed my son for 10 days (3 oz breast milk and 2 oz formula per bottle 5x a day). I am wondering if this is worth it at this point because while I’m happy I can give him something it would be easier to quit. I wanted to make it to 12 months but I don’t see that happening. I think I have DMR because the first minute or two makes me feel so disgusting and I get repulsed about the whole process. I feel sad about cutting this so short but he will be eating solids anytime so it will be okay. I plan to make those so stopping pumping will help save time.
