Wondering how everyone feels about modeled earrings in a listing?
Post Body

Hi everyone! I just recently opened up my shop. Right now i have about 9 listings, all earrings. I don’t have any sales yet, but i know it can take awhile being new

I’ve been trying to look up this question but can’t find many answers. I was wondering how everyone feels about the earrings in the listing being worn and modeled?
Personally, i do like to see the earrings modeled, but i don’t like thinking about how someone has worn them already. I usually shy away from listings that show the person wearing them if it’s the exact pair I’m going to receive. I’d like to sell them as new and never been worn. My earrings are all unique, so i can’t really just make multiples of the same and model one, but sell the others. But I’m sure having modeled pictures would help sell them so people can visualize what they look like when they wear them.

I’d love to know what you all think. I could make a pair for myself that I wouldn’t sell, and add the picture to all my listings so they get a size reference but it wouldn’t be the same colors or pair in the listing? Or should i just model them and (of course) clean them afterwards. Or if i leave it as is with no modeled pictures, should i put a disclaimer in the description that explains why they aren’t modeled?

I’m sure I’m just overthinking this, but i appreciate any insight!
