I wanted to sincerely thank this community for its warm support and welcome; you guys have been extremely helpful in my journey. I also wanted to share the good news with somebody. I feel like most people don’t understand how big of a deal this is for me.
I’m a college student (20F) who’s felt truly at home in the Episcopal Church for many months. I’m so glad I decided to attend a service at my local parish last year despite never having gone to an Episcopal Church before. It has felt like a major transformation for me; I was an atheist for the longest time before I found my home here. Every week I look forward to worship on Sunday, as crazy as that sounds, considering my atheist past. These months have changed me greatly for the better, mentally and spiritually. My priest recently asked me if I wanted to get baptized. I said I did. I’m so excited to officially become part of the Church!
