Around the same time the messenger went up as a freebie the launcher decided it wasn't going to work. It gets as far as showing the loading circle but stalls and never loads further. All information I've found I've tried, reinstalling, updating graphics drivers, even some oddball homebrew shit like adding "-OpenGL" to the shortcut options, running as administrator (the pc pretty much defaults to this option regardless but I still specifically launched as admin) Nada. Anyone else having a similar issue and/or found a solution? I have posted this issue to Epic Games support service, no reply as of yet.
EDIT:
I have just been through the whole "did you turn it on and off again" shpiel with Epic Tech Support. We did manage to get it to work, the solution for my case was to go to
C:\ProgramData\Epic\EpicGamesLauncher
Under which is another folder labeled Data, which I was told to delete, doing so allowed the launcher to once again get past the loading screen.
