State careers and pregnancy
Post Body

Hello! I’m looking for a job, preferably remote or hybrid. Im thinking about with the state of Texas. However, I am pregnant and I know a lot of places use that as a “pre-existing condition” to give you unpaid maternity leave. Im wondering if anyone has experience with the state of Texas around this issue and if it would be worth trying and potentially losing my benefits for a few months over (from my current job) as im sure it takes time for them to become active.

Any advice would be appreciated. My other option is stay at my job and re-evaluate after having my child.
