My services for a company as a 1099 contractor ended this past weekend. I signed a mutual termination of services standard letter today- they asked me to sign.
Clause #2 indicates a 2 week severance will be paid out ( to me)
The CEO of said company is a shady MF'er.
My question is- since it is on the form that the company and I signed today- they have to pay it correct?
Is there any loop hole? (I think they pulled a form off the internet, hit print... and used it not knowing the severance clause was on there.
It's 2 weeks worth of work- which equates to approx $5600.... so I am obviously going to see this through til payout.... but want to make certain they don't have a leg to stand on.
Thank you in advance for your feedback-
