First Printer Decisions

Post Body

I have been on the research train for a little while now, trying to decide which printer to go with as my first purchase. The idea is to cover as many of my bases as I possibly can and get the most use out of the printer as possible. What got me initially interested in buying a printer is the ability to print things for props/tiles/building/minis for tabletop games.

While looking through Thinkgiverse, Myminifactory and other such sites, I have come to recognize the limitations of the build size capable with the Elegoo Mars, Photon S, Epax X1 and others of the same. I know at some point I am going to want to have the option of printing things that are outside of the tabletop genre.

I am just wondering if there is a source with stl files of larger items already split for smaller format printers or what method is recommended to use for splitting larger prints into manageable sizes to fit a 4.5 x 2.5 x 6 inch print area limitation.
