Is a Heavy Greatsword with Storm Blade overpowered or am I being gaslit?

Post Body

I recently joined a small PvP server and we were playing United Combat. Long story short, we played some 40 matches and at the end of one of our play sessions, the moderator DMs me saying how some people were complaining that I was spamming attacks and ganking them.

I am a SL150 STR build. 60VIG, 30END, 55STR and the rest in DEX and FTH. Talismans were Flamedrake 3 (for the spellcaster), Turtle, Two-Handed Sword and Alexander Shard. 25 Heavy Banished Knight Greatsword with Storm Blade.

What is true is that other than a certain spellcaster usually on the other team, I was the only player consitently getting a high amount of kills, hard carrying my team and frequently the Supreme Combatant. Which I am not bragging about. I am not very good at the game at all, but baiting some attacks and basic roll catching can take you very far.

One of the players liked parrying, so naturally I mostly used jump attacks against them. With another I would not jump attack at all, and instead try to bait incantations with a long casting time so I could use Storm Blade or throw a Lightning Pot.

Regarding ganking, I wasn't trying to particularly do that, but if I kill one of the players, it stands to reason that I would then go after the next one, right? This isn't a 3v1 invasion where the odds are very much against the invader, this is a 2v2 or 3v3 where your teammates happened to die.

I am just trying to understand, am I missing something and Heavy GS builds are indeed unfair to play against, or am I being gaslit? Is there something I'm not getting?

I just find it odd that there was a minmaxed SL200 spell spammer and a light roller with Swift Slash (builds I'm perfectly fine with in a casual PvP setting, United Combat of all things), and I was the one to get called out about my spamming jump attacks and Storm Blade on a Heavy GS.
