I have done actual 3 EMDR sessions so far - the days following I have had a breakdown after each session and feel very emotionally spent. My EMDR doesn’t focus on one memory but connected ones with a theme. Is this normal. When will I know that EMDR is working. How many sessions is normal with complex PTSD. I have a normal therapist too that I also see weekly who asks how they can support me with what I am experiencing with the other therapist in EMDR. I don’t know what to say to them, how can they support me
Are there books on this that I can read that has these kinds of answers too. I read the section in the body keeps score but other than that don’t know how it is supposed to go
