After the Sunday FA Draft, an event which we have been attempting to coordinate with the captains for the past week, sweatypete came onto Mumble and joined a channel with two commissioners. Angrily asking why no one had notified him about the FA draft and asking why one of his players had been allowed to draft on his behalf, sweaty was extremely hostile in the language he used, calling the commissioners a number of expletives.

We as Novice commissioners believe we had coordinated the FA draft as best as possible given a limited time frame, and contest that sweaty had been provided sound notice as to when the draft was occurring. Furthermore we believed allowing one of his own players to participate in the draft in his absence was a fair solution that did not adversely affect the other captains who were able to attend the scheduled draft without issue. However we do acknowledge limitations to our efforts and as a captain sweaty does have the right to bring up concerns over how things are run.

What is not acceptable however is the way in which he went about voicing his dissension. The direction of such expletive language towards us is unbefitting behaviour as a captain and as such the INC team have seen it fit to censure sweatypete. We hope any perceived grievances can be solved amicably; should the situation escalate further, suspension from the remainder of the league season is a possibility as explained in Section 21 of the ELTP Rules

We would also like to provide a friendly reminder that the league is run by volunteers - commissioners, captains and other contributors alike - who dedicate their time towards making E(N)LTP as enjoyable an experience as possible. Please remember this when interacting with people and to treat each other with civility, as we trust the community-at-large already do.
