Leaving work because I’m uncomfortable staying there after a work injury. Can I qualify for EI?

Post Body

Hey everyone, never been on EI before so this is all a new experience to me. I recently had a bad work injury a few months ago where I lost my pinky finger and I’m back to work full time now but I’m just very uncomfortable staying there and just un happy. I applied and got accepted to a trades school in a few months and I plan on doing it but would like to try and get EI coverage.

If I got a note from my doctor, my councillor and work safe BC saying that I’m just depressed at this current workplace and left, would I be able to receive some sort of benefits through my schooling?

I don’t know how EI works at all and never been in it so I apologize if I sound a bit clueless. Thanks for the help!!
