Interviewing for a new job while actively working at my current job
Post Body

Looking for input/advice!

Long story short, circumstances have made it clear my current center is no longer a good fit for me, so I’m actively looking for new daycare jobs. I have one interview that I’m in the process of scheduling, however I haven’t given my two weeks notice at my current job yet and getting time off is a real pain in the ass due to low staffing/general mismanagement. I think my bosses know I’m at the end of my rope (based on what I’ve told them) and one of them actually called out “Going to a job interview???” when I left this evening.

Is there any general etiquette around this sort of thing? I don’t want to lie if I need time off but I also don’t want to tell the truth and then face harassment at my current job from admin. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
