Looking for feedback. 996/8 vs 939 Hyper

I have owned a 996 and a 1098. Had to sell the 996 during divorce and never really jelled with the 1098 so sold.
I live in a suburban area and liter super bikes are somewhat impractical but I can be in country in half an hour. The Hyper appeals as an around town goon machine.
Considering going back down the 996/998 path or venturing into the Hypermotard world. Most likely a 939 SP.
Anyone owned/ridden both? If a Hyper owner, especially a 939, what do you like/dislike?
