I'm trying to get in touch with an old friend I met through an obscure video game. For the sake of his privacy, I'm going to refer to him by his old gamer name "Omni." We were kids back then; I lived in New York and he lived in Dublin. We talked every day, played games and even video chatted back when webcams looked like eyeballs and were 240p! We connected on Facebook well into our college years, but as time passed, we've lost touch.

Anyway, the reason why I'm reaching out is because I moved out of New York, married a British man and moved to Liverpool, which is not too far from Dublin! As I recall, Omni also has friends and family in Liverpool.

I've lived here for four years and to be honest, it's been hard! I like Liverpool a lot, but I often feel lonely and miss home. Sometimes I think about how cool it would be to meet up with Omni; Liverpool and Dublin are close so it wouldn't be farfetched to see each other on a semi-regular basis!

I tried to get in touch with Omni on Facebook, but because young people don't really use it anymore he hasn't replied to my messages. I haven't been able to find him anywhere else online, so I was thinking... perhaps, Reddit could help?
