Post-Ida opening day. Literally just mass production of thin peps and cheeses. No stops, no breaks, no brakes, just pain. With a shit AC, during a heat advisory. And they want us to open for hours that extend past curfew, and then want us to be at normal hours before power is even back. Are corporate jackasses even living in these areas? Do they not understand that the only thing that got me to volunteer to come in for a shift with no proper schedule was the promise of cold air and free food? That half our staff is evacuated and will likely remain so until power returns? Do they not realize that means a lot of O/Cing workers, for more days in a row than they should, in a high volume store, without proper staffing?
I’m really, really, REALLY weighing my options here. I wanted to go GM, but they’re pushing some buttons.
