Mileage: per delivery or per mile?

My franchisee has decided to switch over and pay drivers per mile driven instead of per delivery. According to the policy, miles driven will be calculated based on the Pulse navigation system. HR says we can appeal if we think we’re not being reimbursed fairly, with documented proof.

Does anyone have experience being reimbursed both ways? If so which is better or worse?

I’m guessing is no more cashing in on doubles in the same complex :(

A little context here: been a driver for 10 years, on and off, same franchise. Currently my side job.
