Hello!
I have a 14 month old, intact, male GSD. Recently he had a growth spurt and I can see that he is on the thin side. He has always maintained a healthy weight, visible tucked waist and his ribs were not visible but easily felt on his sides. He is very active and has a high play drive but when it comes to food drive he is lacking.
Recently I increased his kibble intake by a small amount because I noticed he grew a bit and his ribs were becoming visible. He is not wanting to eat the extra kibble and will always leave some in the bowl.
What are some healthy ways you all have found to encourage your dog to eat?
This morning I added a raw egg and he ate his leftovers like a champ but I read that I shouldn’t feed eggs daily. Should I replace some of his kibble intake with a different form of feeding?
I have done some major reading on this I’m just looking for helpful suggestions because he is a picky boy! I need variety lol.
