Ok so i was doing a mini 1 on 1 rp session with one of my players after this weak game. So as usall i let the players have free rain of the world at large and i just adlib characters and locations as needed. So some where near the middle of the session my player runs into a character that i portaryed as a old grandfather type and he fell in love with him almost imediatly. I was quite touching honestly. And then i had an idea struck me. You see i have another character in the party who we are curently doing his back story arch (I've done this for 2 other players and im just working down the line) and i need a hook to get the other players emotionaly invested, if you catch my drift... So i thought Grandpa So'n'So can sell out the players. It's perfect. Nothing motivates players more than betrayal... But... its... just... so... hard. I too have fallen in love with this character and i know who this character will react to getting stabbed in the back. He'll remove Grandfather So'n'So's head... sigh. Any thoughts?
