Ive made the classic blunder where I built a set up to a brief side quest, purely based on improv and now as the weekly session draws closer, my creative juices just arent flowing. The layout was pretty simple, a neighboring cities brach of the kingdoms theives guild had been betrayed by one of their noble benefactors. The chapter of said guild that the players belong to are sending them to the city where the betrayal occurred. Where I'm struggling is coming up with good ideas for mini quests on how to get back at the traitor. So far I have two that I think could be fun, one where they infiltrate one of his homes and look for deeds to some property he owns and taking away a big chuck of his income in one fell swoop, and one where they plant some evidence on him to get the noble in some hot water. I was hoping to tailor is some opportunities for combat, or just some additional ideas in general. Really appreciate any and all suggestions!
