Accidentally have 2 players in a single player campaign.

Post Body

So I started my sp campaign with 2 controllers because my housemate and I started origin characters that we (he) didn't want to play with, so being the doormat that I am I started my sp with his character in mind as well as mine.
I started off customizing with 2 controllers and then only played single player from then on, with the intention of splitting in act 2 after the respec mirror into a single player save, and a 2 player save.
Only problem is in my single player my second origin character constantly requires my guidance in dialogue and such.
tl;dr:
Is there any way to convert player characters in the party to npcs?
