I've been working on new ice roads in the top-nether. Not only are some of our most important places now linked via high speed ice roads, but those roads have been raised up so that they won't interfere with any rail lines or anything on the ground! Elytra is faster, but we will always have newfriends who can't afford them and older players who don't use them for other reasons.

There are obviously improvements planned. I'd like to connect more cities to the network, and the speed can be upped by putting a roof on the road.
