I am taking prerequisites classes with mostly nurses and other healthcare majors and they tell me that the job market in Cali for all healthcare workers is insane. I didn't know this was a thing and I checked the nursing subreddit and yeah people are saying it's impossible to get a healthcare job in Cali and most nurses have to move in order to get a job. Even though nursing is always seen as very high in demand it's the opposite for Cali
I'm guessing dental hygiene doesn't fall into that category because we have no benefits or unions (🥲) and that's what made nursing jobs so fought for in California
But I'm still scared. Is it hard to get a dental hygiene job in Southern Cali?
I'm in the bay area and there's a lot of demand at the moment. Who knows how it will be in say 5 years but right now my office is begging me to work more days.
