Hello everyone,
I started seeing a new woman recently who I'm very interested in, and she told me on the last couple dates I had pretty bad breath after I had felt through her body language (we were cuddling) that something was off. I've since come to terms I have really bad dry mouth, and probably have for some time - I also have GERD/Acid Reflux, and I know this can cause some problems.
I had been brushing once daily for a long time, and only flossing/mouthwashing occasionally. I'm since going to floss and mouthwash after every meal, and going to brush after waking up and before going to bed. I also bought some magnesium supplements & tongue scrapers.
Some other info - I had been taking 1 40mg Unisom capsule (antihistamine) every single night for god knows how long to help me sleep. I since tossed my remaining few and I'm going to use melatonin instead - after reading that antihistamines cause dry mouth. I've been using weed nightly too, and I'm going to cut back significantly on that as well as I know it really dehydrates you.
Is there anything else I may be missing here or should consider here (especially with my GERD, I take Pantoprazole for it daily before dinner) to help me resolve this issue?
Thank you very much.
