Oh I’m ripping through this rewatch pls, anyways back with my thoughts!

Ashley’s best season by far. Lowkey liked her, on my first watch I was Team Manny maybe to a fault? I really like Manny and before I decided to rewatch all seasons after my first viewing, Manny is my second favorite character in all of degrassi. THAT BEING SAID, Ashley’s little announcement in the lunchroom? ATE. Sorry. Manny’s little fast ass wanna be grown so bad, knew that man had a girl when she smashed him unprotected, and only asked for a breakup afterwards when she thought they was post to be together or something, Ashley destroyed Craig on stage (she should’ve won the talent show, both based on sound AND narratively I think giving the win to Craig sends a “cut this cheating man a break” message with his lil half assed apology.) she’s still very cringy, her little queen of doom Elvis song was like ??????? Don’t piss me off. But overall, not bad.

YALL I HATE CHRIS HES SO WEIRD????! EMMA’S LIKE TALKING TO HIM AND HE STARTS BEATBOXING? UM? & the way he dumped his girl for Emma just for Emma to still be hung up on Sean is so funny to me he really played himself tryna be a playboy. Breaking poor Melinda’s heart for fun.

Marco & Spinner development….. wow. Love this friendship, from homophobic spinner writing hate speech on bathroom walls, “they should put them all on an island” (REFERRING TO HIS GIRLFRIEND’s BROTHER MIND YOU) PAHSTEH sauce, running from Marco trying to save his life, to literally setting him up with Dylan, picking out his outfit for the date and pushing him to be happy. Very much growth. Marco literally says “idk why I’m talking to you about this” and spinner goes “it doesn’t matter, I’m your friend.” Like YALL MY HEART 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹

Why do I lowkey like Emma???? I might even love her, idk when that happened but I’m rooting for you miss girl let’s see how long it takes you to screw it up. (On my first watch I don’t remember liking Emma that much) also, her sticking up for manny’s right to choose oh she ate that. Growth. Also the “school sl*t” comment was made in response to manny dumping her as a friend first when she wasn’t doing anything wrong. She was hurt so she lashed out. Two wrongs don’t make a right but I’m not holding it against her like I’ve seeen others in this sub do.

You stay drunk, and the only people you intimidate are 95 pounds. Pls leave me alone, don’t make me call Dylan to stare you down again 💀✋🏿

I think this is all I have to say. I liked this season tho, it’s my favorite so far. So many iconic episodes in it too. And the fact that manny’s glow up , Marco’s coming out , and Emma finding Shane were all back to back to back?? Very crazy how many banger episodes they put in this season. They STARTED THE SEASON eatery. Nobody fucking with season 3, except if memory serves, seasons 10 & 11 were some I really enjoyed as like peak degrassi alongside season 3.

Favorite characters this season are probably Emma, Hazel & Paige. Oh and Jimmy. I’ll always love Jimmy.
