In credit card debt, but missed monthly payments and can’t afford the minimum amount due + late fees on all my cards
Post Body

I’ve been unemployed for months until this past week, and racked up $7,690 in credit card debt. I have 5 cards with balances and am wanting to use the snowball method by paying off the account with the smallest balance first, and so on. The only problem is the job I just got doesn’t pay very much, and I can’t afford to pay the minimum amounts due plus all the late fees and still be able to afford bills. Some of the minimum amounts due are above $200. Can I pay a smaller amount towards each account? I realize this will cause me additional late fees, but I don’t know what else to do. I want to avoid going through a debt relief program. Any advice on what I should do? I’m at a loss here.
