While I think that we've been able to mostly establish a culture where cutting down the larger, procedurally-generated trees is looked down upon, some loggers have still been able to slip through the cracks and cut some down, and more still might have a hard time finding other options for wood. That's why I would like to introduce the Lorax Act, which would legislate the following:
Cutting down any procedurally-generated tree is hereby illegal and subject to regular imprisonment and sentencing as determined by general consensus in line with our constitution. Procedurally-generated trees are defined as any tree that you could not find in vanilla minecraft and do not regrow from saplings. Some examples are seen here.
Snitches will be placed around these trees and areas where they are found at random and without public knowledge in order to further dissuade loggers from cutting them down.
Public tree farms will be established where they haven't been already for tree varieties that people are unable to obtain otherwise.
Let me know what you think!
