Preamble:

In order to facilitate the voting process, and make sure that the bills presented to NDZ have received proper attention and discussion, as well as create a comprehensive record of all laws that are to be passed in the future, we hereby create this law which shall be referred to evermore as the Act of Legislation.

Article I:

Section A:

The Voting Process is now to be dictated into different weekly sections. Citizens who wish to propose bills and ideas to be considered by the populace at large may post a thread which title contains the words [Proposal] or [Discussion] on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of any given week. Any debate may occur on these threads, and the people are free to offer revisions or clarifications on the items discussed in said thread. A Thread designated for voting shall be posted on Thursday and Friday by the City Manager, who shall be responsible for linking the discussion threads into the Vote thread, which shall be signified by the word [Vote] in the title. Votes will be tabulated on Saturday, and bills that have a 51% majority of approval shall be passed into law.

Section B:

To ease the way in which bills are passed, discussion may only be held in posts labeled [Discussion] and [Proposal], while votes are only held in posts labeled [Vote]. At no point may discussion be held on posts designated for voting, and at no point may votes be taken in posts designated for discussion. The moderators of the subreddit are responsible for removing and replies which are found to be in violation of these measures.

Section C:

All passed bills are to be collected and written down in a Google Document that the population of NDZ has access to by the City Manager. Only the City Manager and his/her appointed aides will have the ability to edit the Document. They shall mark each law with the day it was presented, the day it was passed into, the name of the bill, and the In Game Name of the person who proposed said legislation.

Article II:

Section A:

To amend laws which have been passed, a citizen of NDZ may post a thread with the word [Addendum] in the title, as well as the name of the law that they wish to amend at the same time as when Bills are being proposed. These addendums shall also be subject to the guidelines that prospective laws are held to, with the added fact that a 60% majority of voters must agree to the edit in order for said amendment to be passed.

Section B:

To annul laws which have been passed, a citizen of NDZ may post a thread with the word [Annul] in the title, as well as the name of the law that they wish to amend at the same time as when bills are being proposed. This process of voiding a passed law shall also be subject to the guidelines that prospective laws are held to, with the added fact that a 2/3 majority is required to remove any passed law.
