Pentax Ks1 wont turn on. Just got yesterday.

Hi all. My husband bought me this for my birthday. We have let the battery charge, and went to power it on this morning, and nothing.
Steps we took:
Put battery in camera.
Turned knob to on.
Pressed green button (held down as well)
No lights, no sounds, no anything.
Bum battery or bum camera? Or something we missed?
