Utility room ventilation code requirements

I’m in Utah and have been renovating a room in my basement. Access to the utility room is through this room. I’m wanting to re-route the ventilation through an exterior wall. Where can I find code requirements for my state?
Depending on requirements I may be able to go up a bit into the floor above before going out to clear the concrete.
I just want it to be to code so when I sell I don’t have to buyer that wants it redone.
